Social Responsibility

Apex has fostered good relations with the host communities, which have been enjoying relative economic prosperity brought about by the investment in the Masara area. Apex currently employs about 1,500 managers, supervisors and workers, including contractors for various construction projects, mostly from the host communities. Among the major benefits resulting from the development of the mine site are: the improvement of the main roads and bridges; access to medical facilities provided by the Corporation; and the establishment of a school house in Barangay Teresa where the mine is located.
